Description:  From Popol Vuh: The Sacred Book of the Ancient Quiche Maya – “Father Francisco Ximenez tells that in the province of Peten, to the south of Yucatan, the Spaniards, during their expedition of 1696 against the Itza, found some books written with characters which resembled Hebrew characters” [4]
