Location: Newark, Ohio

Description: This stone was found south of Jackstown, Ohio at the “Great Stone Stack” ruin by David Wyrick in a “small limestone box about a foot in length and perhaps 8 inches wide”. “The box contained a small, eight inch long, carved stone of nearly black “limestone” with the Ten Commandments carved in rare form of Hebrew known as “monumental Hebrew,” a post exilic style used by the Jews to inscribe grave monuments in Palestine / Israel.” [14]
