Temple of Quetzalcoatl
Location: Teotihuacan (teh-oh-tee-wa-khan) in Mexico City, Mexico
Description: The Temple of Quetzalcoatl (the Feathered Serpent) is a large temple pyramid found at the ancient site of Teotihuacan in Mexico. This pyramid is named after Quetzalcoatl because of its many feathered serpent heads that are located on the temple ruin. From Old Civilizations of the New World, “Probably the best known and most famous of the Aztecs’ gods was the ‘Plumed Serpent’ or Quetzalcoatl…. There are many myths and legends connected with Quetzalcoatl, but all agree that he was a white stranger with a flowing beard.” [7] This “white stranger with a flowing beard” was Jesus Christ.
